Do you love History? Become a member of Franklin’s Opus and become an active member of a vast community of people who share your passion. Currently there are three ways to get involved:
- Join our online community. Become a member of the Franklin’s Opus History Hub and gain acceptance in a Facebook-type social network dedicated entirely to people who love history. Enjoy networking with representatives of from our partner organizations, grant writers, our TAH and University Historians as well as teachers and students from across the country. - Become a member. As a member you will:
- Receive updates on the most updated programs and teaching methods available. This is invaluable, one of a kind access to and interaction with other professionals in your field and will enhance your perspective of American History like no other opportunity.
- Grant Notifications - Looking for a grant? Our grant writers supply us with information of various grants that are available for teachers, districts, and students! Does your district need a grant writer? Give one of them a call!
- Funding - Can’t afford some of the programs we promote? Your school can be matched up with a corporate sponsor to fund various programs that may not be within your budget. For example: Is your school in need of funding for a field trip that would enhance your historical perspective on a particular historical matter but funds are not available within district? Become a member and you can be registered to be matched to a sponsor who is willing to fund this project for you! Membership is currently free. Send an email to member@franklinsopus.org with your contact information and any programs that you have an interest in.
- Corporate Sponsorships: We are looking for corporations and businesses to sponsor school projects. Many corporations have their own place in history and are part of the American culture. We are looking for companies that are willing to sponsor school districts and share their success and corporate culture with an entirely new market. Do you have employees who want to volunteer but don’t know how to get involved? Sponsor an assembly, a field study or a series of Professional Development sessions for one or more deserving school communities. The opportunities are endless. Giving back and sharing makes good citizens and a valuable example to school children today. Get involved and enhance the learning and understanding of History.
