The mission of Franklin’s Opus is to promote the teaching of substantive American history to students from kindergarten to college and on through adulthood. To that end, Franklin’s Opus will give teachers the opportunity to interact with university historians and history education specialists and discuss pertinent issues.
The Franklin’s Opus website will serve as a forum for educators to publish articles regarding teaching history. In addition, Franklin’s Opus will host an annual conference to discuss how best to promote History Education. Franklin’s Opus will also publish an annual journal to discuss History Education in the nation. Franklin’s Opus will serve as an ardent advocate for History Education in all levels of education, in government, and also in the general culture.
