Without an understanding of our past, there is no clear path to the future. Franklin’s Opus is a non-profit corporation established in the spirit of one of America’s first true heroes: Benjamin Franklin. Dr. Franklin shared his vision and ideas freely and innovation soon flourished. With this in mind, Franklin’s Opus wants those same values to encompass the sharing of ideas regarding the study of teaching of substantive History.
The aim of Franklin’s Opus is to bridge K-12 educators who share a love of teaching with University Historians and institutions with funding opportunities to provide historical content, pedagogical training, education, and field study experiences in history to gain fresh perspectives on teaching and learning the subject.
Franklin’s Opus is at the forefront of information sharing for professionals teaching History. Without funding, the impact of the legacy of America and all history will be drastically diminished. Explore this site for fresh perspectives, exciting historic events hosted by our sponsors and first-hand knowledge of teaching history from highly-respected professionals.
